Since joining the River Tyne Heritage project group in August 2023, Jesse has displayed unwavering dedication, attending all 49 sessions with enthusiasm and commitment. He brings energy and humour to everything he does and has delivered a compelling report to the AGM and shared insights on BBC radio. He has also volunteered as a tutor-befriender since March, dedicating Saturday mornings to providing crucial learning support to primary school aged children.

“Jesse stands as an exemplary peer mentor, engaging with the world with enthusiasm and using his privileges to uplift others,” said Vaina.

“His commitment to making a positive impact is truly commendable.”
